Just watching a sky 1 programme and there was a silver impreza wagon that had been jacked being followed by a chopper. Was it anyone on here's pride and joy The scooby totally thrashed the traffic cars but there was no getting away from the chopper and the little pr1ck was caught! It looked like a 1996-1998 car, defo not newer.

Yeah I seen this too. That's two weeks in a row they have shown an Impreza out running the police cars! Just what we need, all the lowlife thinking an Impreza is what they should nick.

they also said that "Car Jacking is relatively remote in the UK, but this Impreza was hijacked"

should shoot the *****'s

wish our cops had the same mentality as the US cops by Running the B@st@rds of the road, giving them a good beating and then asking them "Sir...is this your vehicle"

I think they already know which cars to go for though.

Just depends on what cars the easiest target at the time!
Subaru, ford, vauxhall they will have any one if they get the chance!

...will a T5 catch a scooby on anything other than a straight road then? i'd pretty much assume a scooby would destroy one of those tanks once off the motorway...

You need to be doing something REALLY bad for this to happen like vandalising a speed camera or actually speeding

Owbow,
I asked the same question of one of Strathclydes finest porkers not too long ago to be told that "it doesn't matter what car you are driving, it's the idiot in it that makes the difference".
I said I would smoke his *** and in return he listed off a zillion driving courses he had been on to catch @ssh0les like me.
I think any impreza turb would have a fair chance of 'doing one' from a T5 terminator on paper, but I wouldn't fancy your chances against a 'copter and army of plod waiting at every junction, more pressure to go faster etc....accident waiting to happen! (a la silver wagon last night).

Just my tuppence.

I think an Impreza on the run would take a T-5 anyday! The scumbag driving wants nothing but to get away. The T-5 driver - whilst highly trained - needs to be far more careful to safeguard his and other lives. More choppers are the way to go and if the fix the spotlight on the car the theif will know its very unlikely he is going to get away.

Had a T5 estate a couple of years back, great sounding engine at full blat, but a bit rubbery around the twisty bits. Still o.k. for the family man, with a couple of big dogs as well

2 years ago I was involved in an incident with the Thames Valley force. It ended in me being handcuffed in the ARV and taken to Banbury police station (I was innocent tho )
As we accelerated up the hard shoulder on the M40 to rejoin traffic the wastegate was chatting away merrily. I asked the police officer if it was turbo charged, he replied yup - its got two

May the Force not see you...
