i ask cos the last 2 days, at the same junction my idle has been erratic, jumpin up and down (standard uk my99 65k). concerned the maf may be at fault and will check the ecu fault codes *if* it stores them without the CEL light coming on (light hasnt shown so far).

gather the same symptoms could be a sticky boost solenoid, o2 sensor or dodgy petrol. oh joy.

any advice appreciated...

 

the cel light does not come on when your maf is on the wat out.
it will start hunting as soon as you automatic choke turns off and it will hit very low revs. if it has gone they cost £75 and take 5 mins to fit.
