Picked up the car on wednesday (MY03 WRX) and only managed to get a couple of runs along the M8 to work and back.
Today, i decided to take it for a proper drive, so i headed up the side of loch lomond and then across to garelochhead and up to arrochar. Fecking hell, how much fun was that??
Not as frantic or noisy as the CTR, but loads more power and a hell of a lot more control. I have to say that to this point it's the best car i have ever driven.
i've driven a lot of miles in a lot of cars, but my scoob is the business. Everyone who says they have a good car should be sent out into the twisties in an impreza, just to show them what they're missing

I've been doing the rounds too...I went the other way (south!), took a little drive down the 'killer' A77 then back the scenic route...excellent fun, but family in the back so no real schenanegans!
Seen some other beasties that way as well, a few flashes and nods, a couple of wave. Well done the Ayrshire scoob crew.

1200 mls on the clock already an it's only 2 weeks old!!!
WTF!!! Last car was 8000 mls per year.
I'll need to start drinking again.

Glad to hear you're not the only one enjoying the newness.

Col

i certainly did enjoy it. at one point i passed 2 cars and pulled in behind another scoob who was taking it easy, he gave me a wee wave in the rear view mirror, so i passed him and carried on my merry way, i even got a thumbs up as i was overtaking
i'm an ayrshire boy, but i live in amongst the weegies now, i'll need to take a blast down there soon and rediscover the real 'drivers roads' that i spent all my time on just after i got my licence.

scoob-tastic

Chris
