My car is all jerky when cold. No transmission slippage, just like the auto chocke or whatever these thing has is not working. Happens in any gear at mainly when the car is started in the morning. Goes once car warmed up.

Someone mentioned a cold air sensor? Gonna book it into the deler mainly cos its still under warranty and I need a curtessy car. I need to give them some glues tho so they manage to fix it. ANy ideas?

I heard that this may be caused by clutch material. Apparently if it is this causing the problem then doing a couple of full bore standing starts (from warm)and this can clean the clutch plates etc.

Hope this help

Do a search for "hesitation" and you'll find loads about it. What your car is doing is 'normal' for a MY99/00 Impreza. There is nothing that can be done to cure it.
