Am I the only one to suffer from Back ache.........

I have a 98 Terzo. I believe they are Sti seats without the logo's and for some bizzare reason since I've had the car (2months) I'm getting chronic back ache at the bottom of the spine...

I don't find the seats uncomfy at all, in fact they are really supportive....

I've purchased a Sparco inflatable cushion thingy for the base of the Seat Back but still seam to be suffering...

Is it just me getting older or is this a common problem... If it doesn't get any better I feel a trip to the Recaro Man may be in order....

No, it's not just you. I get it too (MY99 RB5), but it's usually around the kidneys with me. It's worse for me on longer journeys (1hr+). I personally think it's because the seats don't have good support under your legs (hamstrings).

Subaru seats really seem to polarise opinion: Either they're great, or they suck. Luckily for me, I'm in the former camp.

I have no trouble at all with mine.
Before I had the Scooby I had a Laguna company car, when I followed the Network Q in it a few years ago i had to have 3 weeks off work due to back pains due to the seats in the damn thing.
The same time spent in the Scoob last year I was fine.

I've just done some smileage over the last 5 days (1700 miles) and had no problem on non-stop twistie roads. However, I did 1.5 hrs motorway driving today and suffered aches and discomfort... so...

The fact is guys that seats good or bad will only give you back pain if you have an underlying back problem.

So instead of worrying about changing seats or cars get your back sorted as it will improve other areas of your life as well.

I reckon its the way you position yourself in the seat. You have to make sure that your backside is as far back in the seat as possible.

My missis hates my seats and gets back ache, but she is a woman

I've got a dodgy back but no problems in the scoob. The seats in an Elise on the other hand give me big probs after an hour or so.
