Question

After owning the UK MY97 scoob for nearly 3 years (well, 10 days from now). I was rummaging around in the boot having a clearout, and I noticed something....

I have no Wheel brace!! (the thingy to undo the wheel nuts). I've searched everywhere and can't find it! Did manage to find the original wheelnuts hiding behind the boot trim. So I presume for some odd reason the previous owner took it out. Also is there supposed to be a tool kit too?

Glad I've never had a puncture yet

Any idea how much they cost to buy?

It should be in a grey bag thrown in the middle of the spare wheel.
If its not there your best bet would be the scrap yards.
I've mailed you a list of ones to try - start with Grade A.

I have a spare wheel brace. For some reason I had two in my car!!

Drop me a mail with an offer, and we'll go from there!

I wouldn't bother with the wheel brace unless your He Man and have Titanium knuckles. I've bought a torque wrench @ socket, much easier, correct torque & car jack prevention aid.

Or just buy a new 4-point one from Halfords.

I don't think any new owners would hold it against you if you didn't have the original.

Mine (grey bag thing) is in the glovebox. Didn't seem right leaving it to wazz around the boot when zooming about.

Vindaloo.

Hmmm, Point taken.

I already have a torque wrench. But I don't keep it in the car, so I just need something to get me out of trouble incase I do get a puncture.
