What exactly is this car. may sound like a stupid question but is it a 300bhp WRX?

Nope limited edition (300 made). Standard WRX with different head lights and rear spoiler. Probably a few other cosmetic bits and bobs

Some but not all were fitted with the PPP bringing power to 260bhp ish.

IMHO a very expensive & overpriced car considering that shortly afterwards the STI Type UK was released with more power,better brakes,gearbox,diffs,etc for less money.

One of the rearest Scoobies ever produced. Less than 300 now as I know of at least 4 that have been written off.

Ian, The Uk300 was as Mark described based on a 2001 WRX with the following enhancements. Front WRC lights, Front black bib spoiler, different rear wing, (designed by Peter Stevens), 18" Oz gold alloys, colour coded sills, STI interior, UK300 badged mat set, UK300 badged boot mat. At the time of release UK300 owners were gven priority over the PPP (Prodrive Performance Package)@ £1600 which boosted power to 245BHP with about 260lbf torque. Only 300 were produced with special decals on rear, sides and intercooler, inside is a badge with the cars unique number.
The car was marketed by Subaru a a WRC lookalike.

No worries buddy ... I'm back in the land of the living again now ... I'm having Eibachs and an ITG panel filter fitted on saturday so will give you a tinkle after the weekend

things are ok ish taking my car to have it looked at tomorrow morning, have a knocking noise that I have been advised is the bushes on the back left quarter.

hopefully it wont break the bank

gimme a buzz as soon as you have a full tank of petrol
