Ok, since you now wont reply to my emails il try posting on hear to see if i get a response.

I Ordered a scooby ECU from you 2+ weeks ago now and am still yet to recieve it, and as you wont reply to my email i dont even know if you have recived the cheque or if you sent it already and its lost in the post.

Basically all i want is a delivery date, or some info on whats going on.

I'm gonna hazard a guess that you'll find the cheque hasn't been cashed?

David mentioned that he's snowed under with these at the moment and needs to find time to clear a backlog, but as you may have seen he's rather busy with TOTB preparations.

I'll give him a bell, but I'm guessing again that if people make it too much hassle he'll just say "**** it" and not bother. After all, these things are feckin' cheap for what they do!

Cheers,
Nick.

I believe he said he had some personal issues that needed sorting out. From what he posted in the For Sale section as mentioned above, he should be in contact soon.

Not everything always runs smoothly so give him a chance Never dealt with him myself but from reading his epics on here he sounds a decent chap given the amount of people he helps out for free.

Having only spoken with David yesterday evening, he was having a bit of a winge about his car, and all the cheques he has sat waiting to go to the bank, before he banks them, he has to send the ecu out.

So rest assured it wont have been banked.

David is one of the most helpfull people you can come across, he helps a lot of people out for free.

With regard to emails, i remembering him saying that he gets on average in excess of 300 per day, so they take some time to reply to, especially when you have a full time job.

As Chiark has said, i would imagine that if you hassle him enough, he will just say **** it, have your check back, £60/£100 wont affect him.

Does your car run ATM?

Will it not run without the scoobyecu?

Be patient IMO, all good things come to those who wait

Steven

I've been hassling david to get an ecu from him.
My car is off the road until the ecu arrives (more for safety) so I know what you mean. David has promised he will do his best to get it out, so I'm more than happy to wait (just not too long please )

Sorry.. as I was saying before I had to go to a meeting at our other office..

I do the boards at no gain to myself..

My mum has been in hospital and cant really send her to the post office with parts..

I get far too many emails a day, it is possible to miss some, but when you get 100's saying have you posted it, what post is it coming in, what colour envelope then you tend to miss the odd one..

If your not happy I will post your cheque back.. otherwise please be patient(sp) as I dont really care whether I do these boards or not..

At the end of the day im finishing my car for totb.. and that is ALL that matters to me at the moment, along with making sure I work my 35hrs a week to stay in permanent employment thus funding my hobby.

If you think yours is bad.. I had a guy buy a board about 9months ago, he returned it as it was playing up... to this day I still have not been able to get in touch with him to replace it..

Dont get me wrong this post was not ment to be abusive or nagging in any way at all, just take it from my point of view ie you send someone a cheque and then hear nothin you start to think the moneys gone walkabout.

Now im aware of your situation im quite happy just to wait for the board to arrive so keep the cheque and il await its arrival.

Thanks

I would also like to say that David kindly chipped my MY95 some weeks ago

Trust me, for this money you won't get any better mod for increased performance.....the difference is staggering.

He's a top bloke so give him time, it will be worth it

Good luck at TOTB David!!

Oh! I'm so glad I stopped doing these things.....sometimes I'm tempted to get back into this game...but then I read mails like this.

Keep up the good work David...you've stuck it out alot longer than I did

Let me know what 'off-shelf' maps you are sending out and I'll see if I have any newer revisions stashed on my H'drive.

the benefits? it goes like **** from about 2000 rpm.

The cost? very little, about £100 I think (correct me if I'm wrong David)

The guy? works damn hard, does this for next to nothing, is a genuine guy who will NOT rip anyone off. In fact, anyone who gets ripped off can e-mail me and I'll personally send you your money from my own bank account. I trust David to that extent!

The scoobyecu is a wonderful thing. Ask BMWBikes who is the new owner of my MY96 - he'll tell you how well it goes! It would absoultely destroy my 01WRX in a line or round the bends!

David,

I now have a programmer etc so if you need a hand at any point let me know.... the secretary here goes to the post office most days too so posting shouldn't be a problem. E-mail me if you want.

With all these good vibes coming out; you all have me interested in whatever it is that David fits/configures.
Can someone enlighten me more.
And would it be applicable to my wrx import, first reg in dec 96,
so its really an MY97. (straight back intercooler).

Thanks
Glenn

Tony: It works then!

I don't know how David does it, doing all the work on his car and the ECU upgrades and going to work and still having time to answer emails check threads on SNet/22B etc and not forgetting going to the Pub (for the sake of his own sanity I expect).

I know from personal experience that even though you do things for no personal gain and make it clear to people that you are doing it on a best efforts basis, they still expect more.
