Ive just bought a MY95 WRX, Im getting it serviced soon & also going to reset the ECU, Just after finding out the easiest way to do so ?? Help would be helpful

Does it reset it's self if you leave the battery off for more than 1hr ??

Scooby_dan,that's what I did.I disconnected the battery for an hour to reset the ECU.I was adviced on Scoobynet.But,my problem(jolts on high revs)didn't get sorted.When I took it to the Subaru garage,they reset it and did find faults to clear.So,I am not sure if it does work.
Try n see how it goes.It certainly would not do any harm.
