I've had my 97 STI for about 2 weeks now and I must admit I should have got one ages ago....! !
BUT, when TRYING to stay with-in the speed limit around town its a bit jumpy and jerky....not the clutch...the engine..????
is this normal...????

 

It's just a very talky car which tells you to drive it fast! Doesn't agree with speed limits!

 

What "Talky"!! as in K.i.t.t. 0n Knightrider. (P L E A S E GO F A S T E R M I C H A E L)

Stay in a lower gear. But it should not be that jerky anyway,they are usually very flexible engines.
