Hi all,

Today I sat in traffic for about 30-45 minutes, moved about 2 miles and then the engine started cutting out. I'd then start it again, pull foward with traffic, then it cuts out again.... This happened about 4-5 times before I managed to get into a side road and left for five minutes.

I then started again and drove home (traffic other way wasn't as bad) and got home without incident.

Gauges all read normal.... oil temp, oil pressure, engine temp.

This is the second time it has just cut out when in traffic (last time was last summer when very hot). As it only happened once last time, I let it go...

I have sat in traffic before without incident which is why I'm prety clueless as to the problem.

Only thing I can think of is maybe ECU has a 'safe' limit, and if water temps get high (no gauge for this), it shuts it down.

ECU is Adaptronics E420c.

Anybody got any ideas?? Please help...

Forgot to add, car idles fine and it is MAFless.

Any ideas?

air lock or vapourisation in fuel lines?
.....running too close to turbo or turbo heat shield missing, maybe?
