Last night I heard and saw a white R reg wrx driving around my area then my brother saw it slowly pass my house at around 1 am

In the morning I discoved some one had tried to steal my WRX.
The ignition barrel has been smashed.
But the idiots could not take the car.

I am pretty sure it was the guy with the white WRX who tried to steal my car
So he will be dealt with.

As for replacing the Ignition barrel who can do it, and will I need a new key???

I had a white car pull up at my house last night, and apparently some one was taking a good look at my car and at all the houses down the road at 4:30am.

I think i will get a better alarm with proximity sensors fitted now

i phoned the coppers,told them some one had tried to steal my Subaru.
they just got some woman from my local bab to call and take my details.

i never thaought anyone would have the ***** to come on my property and do such a thing .i dont care about the ignition barrel to much .

its more the fact that some PRiK had the ***** to come in my front garden get in my car and try to steal it .

i am sure its that guy i know where he lives ,i was waiting out outside his house .when i see him i will try and keep my cool and i will ask him if he was on my road at 1am.if he lies i will know he has something to hide.
i want to make an example of him so every one knows not to mess areound .
in the last few months i have had some nice cars and people get Jealous i suppose
some one keyed my brother GTO twin turbo ALL doen the side.
and some one knicked the stereo out of my sister swift gti.

What do you guys think i should do

Yea go and have a "quiet" word and stay away from confrontation.

Hopefully he will then also tell all his scum bag mates about it as he will not want ANYONE to touch your car as he will think you will instanly blame him!!!

IMHO u should go find out what he was doin knocking around dont give him ur street or car just see what he was doin he may have a legitimate excuse like he may have seen something/somebody at car he may have been admiring your scoob(dont you when you see another?)

But if he gets mouthy do what you have to do to get message across we`ve all got skeletons in our closets re this kinda thing dont go too far or you might not get to drive ur beloved scoob for a while!!!.
if he is aggressive and there are witnesses allow himn the the first punch then you were defending yourself against his attack (his excuse will be he attacked me on my property what should i do?) there answer defend or call police.take a witness with you

Give him a big slap for me if he is a shyster!but its 50-50 till you confront him and he talks just my opinion having been thru this couple times before dont rush in and dont go too far if your right!

Firstly dont hit or threaten him, if he gets pissed he may come round somewhen else & retaliate (against your car)
Suggest you say that someone had tried to nick your car & that he had been seen in the area (dont say you saw him) & had he seen anything, if hes innocent he may have seen something & tell you, if hes guilty he will know he was spotted but wont know by who & then steer clear of your area.
Lastly stick a cctv camera on the front of your house high up to record anyone approaching the property. Whoever tried to nick your car may return .

Our neighbours house was attacked twice including petrol through the letter box. They were advised to have cameras & the attacks stopped
