Question

Hi being a newbie to scoobynet (ive read for past year or so) ive got a question for the knowledgable amongst you.......I can tell theres a few

With ref to octane boosters which work, which dont and which are recommended by Uk model owners/Import owners ive come across this problem on five or six occasions as i sell imports and have never been able to give a definitive answer to anyone asking which brand is best.
Optimax Vpower seems closest to japanese fuel but alas wont be released here.
Let me tell you in japan any scoob on japanese high grade unleaded goes like ..........a shovel springs to mind yet put optimax in and it seems to be half the car also any suppliers info would be a welcome addition to bulletin board for the un knowledgable amongst us (Me Inc)

Thanks
Gareth

SilkolenePro Boost is what I use, add 30 ml and increase your ron by around 2 points.

You'll find, Millers, NF and various others crop up and many ppl'spersonal opinions are based on what they now use.

Again pesonally have always used pro boost and it has worked for me

I have tried all of them as a customer, and I will now only use NF.

Extremescoobies/Knowlesy, maybe you should declare your professional interest here as IIRC pro boost is the OB you sell isn't it?

Over here in South Africa we had dyno day - there were 2 03 WRX's with similar mileage. The one pushed 117 atw on pump fuel (crappy 93) and the other 125 atw with 1/2 a bottle o black NF. 8-) Yeah baby.

From the NF site...
YOU choose what performance YOU want & what suits YOUR engine best.
For valve seat protection this bottle treats up to 300 litres of fuel. This super high performance octane booster will increase the octane level by as much as 60 pts or 6 ron.

Which is a lot better than 2 points.
