Same cast pistons and rods as a WRX of the same year. Heads have solid lifter cams which sem to be a bit better than WRX even although they are very low lift.

I had one, MY96, 0-60 not sure as i had to go for 3rd before 60 but
very feckin quick. I had it for 2 years and sold it for 500 quid more than i paid for it ;0) Result!
The most basic of them all but that was all part of the appeal, ***** out, thumpingly good fun and on 17s stuck to the road like $h!t to a blanket!

Hi
I'm just in the process of buying my first scubby, 1994 wrx ra, with I'm told 328bhp, how true that is I'm not sure, Its'damm fast though. Its an import with 68k & is in mint condition, straight swap for a Landrover Discovery 300tdi, I won't be able to see over those hedges, but I'll sure get round the bends a little quicker.
Still trying to obtain some info for when its mine

the standard figure is not that low ,
its around 260 PS standard for a 95 version .
the engine has a closed deck block and higly tunable
find out the mods its had done and we can work out the BHP figure. alos find out what month of 1994 it was made, as it may not be the 260ps wrx type RA.it may be the 240 !!!

What part of Reading are you at? Yes I've got a 95 type RA. I can show it to you if you want. As for accelleration, it doesnt help that my clutch is at the end of its life..
