Yep, WRX RA V-Limited 2 door version was produced started with the GC8E27D, MY98 and continued until the end of the classics

Is there any such thing as a two door STI RA? or would it just be a WRX RA that is made in two door?
Is a two door WRX RA as good as a two door STI Type R?

TypeRA is 4 door, TypeR is 2 door

But both did come in come in V.Ltd form

 

Yes there are apparently WRX RAs and WRX STi RAs (like mine)

there are some very rare 2 door RA's in existance. The vast majority of RA's are 4 door, you can get RA's in either STi form or normal WRX form. You can also get RA's that dont have the DCCD. Subaru love confuuding us.

But a two door WRX RA would not have a STI engine right? Or would it?!?! AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH

 

So, what's the difference between a WRX Type RA and a WRX STI Type RA? Also, what the hell is a V-Limited? Is the only difference between a Type R and a Type RA the number of doors? In terms of performance, what is the ultimate spec classic shape Impreza? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm considering changing my MY00 UK Turbo for a JDM spec car of a similar age and just trying to get my head round all of this. Cheers.

 

The WRX STi Type RA will have been tuned by the boys at Subaru Technica International.
The WRX Type RA wont have.
V-Limited actually refers to a Limited edition version 5 (or V in roman numerals) STi.
Think the main difference between the R and RA is, yes the number of doors! but also the RA will be lighter, less (or no) sound deadening materials, no sideskirts, no toys etc. Unless you get one like mine, the WRX STi Type RA V-Limited, which has best of both worlds.
Lighter and goes like stink, but has electronic everything and stuff like climate control etc...

Yes Subaru like to confuse their customers!

and 2000 Sti 6 RA V-ltd's were built
