Last sunday a friend of mine got his scoob nicked in Bradford a 'N' reg white turbo, slightly distinctive coz it had leather seats a sun roof, OZ wheels & a very loud dump valve.

It was getting old but he's gutted as it was his 2nd one that's been stolen and loved it but unfortunatly no traker, just the standard alarm and imobi.

not sure what it's going to do to his insurance but it can't be good

Monster,

Did they manage to get it going despite the alarm/immobilisor being activated?

yup, apparently when he came out to car (which was no longer there) all he noticed on the floor was a bit of the ignition.

Barstards are'nt they, the police apparently said they tend to go for the older scoobs!. Is that because with the new one before the engine can start the chip inside the key has to be the same code as the ecu ?, something like that but not sure.

i'm sure someone will correct me!

MM

diff alarms and immob offer diff levels of protection
i one purchased a rs2000 and i suddenly realised that they were fixing my alarm but i was still driving the car(dummy)
any way turns out it was a piranha alarm pull back the sleeving reconnect 2 green wires and hey presto no prob(i think it was a thatcham cat 200 useless alarm)
