Well what is it?

Got stopped by the cops this morning and they said they havent heard about the DVLA saying imports can have smaller plates. Just read DVLA and they say certain imports can have smaller plates if it cant fit the front properly.

So what size is your front plate (assuming its not standard)?

Mine is 300x80 i think

mines tiny.....(number plate that is). I'll get a photo of it tom.

my cars a dutch import and comes with a really small surface to mount the plate on, so i just had the plate made to fit. never been pulled over so cant comment on whether or not the rozzers wud believe the "its an import" blag.

That could be your stumbling block there!

As the correct size plate can be made to fit the front properly.

Yeah i think thats what the guy was trying to say. Even though it has a small plate to fit the standard number plate, a standard one can still me fitted!

lol at Vash!

Its basically saying for imports you can have small plates but depends on the plate.

I would say you could take your plate off and have a sticker made up. A few people have taking the plate off and made it a bit smaller and put it on the front spoiler and that seems to be fine.

Just wouldnt go to small
