Question

Can anyone recommend a good product to use to cover up a few small paint chips on my WR Blue sti7.
The white specks tend to show quite badly against the bright blue paint work

don't know about covering up the existing chips, but Armourfend will stop you getting any more

Touch up pen from the dealers.
Apply it with a cocktail stick. (Will stop you getting a large blob of paint)

Better getting it from a dealer and they aren't expensive anyway. At least you'll know you have a perfect colour match.

Also Halfords can mix paints to manufactures spec. I got an aerosol on Sunday only waited about 10 minutes for it.

Not sure I'd trust them, rather go to dealers.

Don't forget your colour code from under the bonnet.

The one I got from my dealer cost about £10 and the match was absolute rubbish!

Make sure you take the paint code if you don't go in the car.
My dealer charged £8 and it's a bang on match.
Different years have different codes but similar descriptions.
The Code is on the plate fixed to the passenger side suspension turret.

Edited to say its usually two numbers and one letter E.g. 64C

Nothing wrong with halfords paints!! The store that i worked in had 4 thick folders listing and showing the exact colour so you could even take it out and try it on the car. Plus the computer got updated every three months. Paints mixed to exact colour as per factory. I know that i would rather pay four quid and get it in ten min rather than paying double and waiting prob six years for it from the dealer!
