Folks

A while back there was a post on here which I think may have had a link to one of the US forums.

Anyway, it gave detailed instructions on how to cure the dashboard strip rattle. This is the strip just behind the windscreen, and the link said something about the retaining clips being the things that actually rattle.

I've searched the threads on here with anything to do with dash rattle to no avail.

Does anyone know how to fix this bloody strip, or have the thread in question.

Should have printed the bloody instructions out when I had the chance.

Thanks,

Shaun

My MY03 has a drivers door rattle and when the drivers sun visor is down the locating pin next to the interior light rattles in it's holder. This must be a design fault, I may have to stick some felt in the holder to pad it out.

Dan with reference to your drivers door rattle, where your drivers door locks aginst the body of the car (so in between the 2 doors) you will see the piece which locks against the door itself which is bolted to the body of the car, spray some good lubricant between it and the body and the tighten it up again.

This has cured the mettalic rattling noise on a lot of MY01 onwards cars, i bet it doesnt happen all the time and the noise sounds like its coming from the seatbelt mechanism area.
