Wink

Nice to see Vauxhall up near the top as per usual, along with Ford and Fiat and Rover. Do they actually listen to the people who buy the cars???
Those that have done well seem to have tipped the balance by actually having dealers that act like they care. When I've taken my cars to Ford/Vauxhall respectively (sorry, interloper! ) they've acted like they really couldn't care less. This has got to be wrong because car manufacturers make a slim profit on the cars (outside the UK) and rely on Parts AND Servicing for a vast majority of their income.
Toyota on the other hand have done everything possible to make servicing etc hassle free and ownership a trauma free experience (some would call it dull... at least as far as the Corolla and Avensis are concerned!) so they've done well.
The cars aren't necessarily that much better designed or built cos the avensis had problems with the steering rack and windsreen seal... and yet customers say they'd have another one.
So come on dealers, get your act together. Tha manufacturers have spent millions taking dealers to the factories to show them how much effort goes into building the car in an attempt to please the customer, only for the dealer to pull a fast one on the customer service front.
Ok rant over

This JD power survey - don't you feel that it might have something to do with the type of car buyer and also the volume of cars sold?

I mean historically the cars sold by the 100 of thousand never do well - i.e. Escort, Astra, Mondeo, Vectra, etc, etc.

And also the type of owners of these cars aren't that passionate abot them are they? I mean where is the bbs.vectra.co.uk???!!!!

Do you think this could affect results?

Subaru dealers actually like the cars they sell. That's seems to be the biggest factor as far as I can see. Skoda dealers like their cars too. It makes a big difference to the whole ethos within the dealership and it shows. It helps that Subaru owners are enthusiastic too, of course.

I'll still moan about the slow electric windows, but then there's no pleasing some! (Or is it just that I arrive at the booth sooner than I expect? )
