you didnt need to see a video to know that Arron!
Dont hold your breath mate, and you wont get an answer from Mike Wood as even if the answer is yes, he cant say as that would kill sales of his PPP/STi8 Type UK.
Speed restrictors have nothing to do with it.
I still dont understand why we dont get the DCCD-A on our UK cars, Maybe IM like the STi having its arsed kicked on TV by the EVO?

Well I fancy the Jap spec one next then.
With a proper map for uk fuel it should be fine.
Probably need an exhaust aswell I guess.
Well backbox anyway eh JF
Does anyone on here have one. Most people who buy imports seem to buy the Euro spec ones like we get. Why?????

Arron,
I collect my JDM from Iain Litchfield at the end of this month.
The difference between a UK spec and the JDM spec was big I could bring myself to shell out on a UK spec.
Damian.

Arron,
I suspect the lack of warranty and potential insurance problems is what stops most people from buying the JDM models. For example, with my post code and the car kept on the street, the cost of insuring a JDM Scoob is double the UK cost (and the UK insurance cost is not cheap either!!! )
Yes, Iain can have your Scoob remapped if you so desire before you collect it
John, I suspect that as long as IM sell every current STi pretty much as fast as they can bring them in, I don't suppose they really care a) if the EVO is better b) what the customers want as they are making money (and we all know that is the only thing they care about!!)

Aaron,
After it is run in I am going to have a Milltek exhaust with hi-flo cat on with the ECUTEK re-map.
Iain Litchfield is currently running a 'C' Spec as a demo. He is on holiday at the moment and will be back on Monday the 23rd of June. Give him a buzz and go see what the twin scroll is like.

If Subaru are remotely serious about having the next model outperform the Evo, then IMHO we need the 2.5 engine from the US STI. If the engineers' time last year was spent developing it and getting it approved for the US market, I can't believe that it's too hard to get EU approval on that engine too. It's about time we had a major upgrade - the MY01, 02 and 03 are all pretty similar.
