Trying like mad, and must admit its getting better.
But, how do you do it?
I know that imagining the audience nekkid is the key to public speaking... So whats the key to not getting wound up by the local *******...?
Andy (flame suit on in readiness for *irresponsibility* attack, im talking out of town here)

I had one undertake me on the dual carriageway today. Im sat in the outside doing around 75, theres trafic infront of me, anyway, minding my own when all of a sudden this **** comes past on the inside doing around 95 ish. Now dont get me wrong, ten years ago i drove artics for a living so im always in my mirrors, even now, its inbred. But i didnt even see this tw& come up the inside, it happend that quick
So, what car was it? Oh, suprise suprise its a corsa si! and the lax power brigade!
The little berks wont learn until they kill someone.
Anyway, the upshot of it was, is that i didnt rise to it, no fingers, no lights, nothing. Let it go over your head, they aint worth it.

I had a Lax Power tit in a stupidly over modified 106 sitting on my **** on my way home from the cinema last night. My car wasn't even warmed up yet so I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction. So I braked insted. Like he would have had a chance anyway
Why do they even bother?

<why do they bother?>
What ever people say, Lax Power boys do like cars...
They probably just wanna see what a 'real' car can do...
But still no excuse for driving like a ****!!!

I used to react if any prat did that sort of thing to me,but as everyone says, they are not worth the candle. I find it is much more irritating to them if you take no notice whatsoever-they are only posers anyway. Occasionally I find myself in a situation when one is trying to push his way through a gap before you. When I get through the gap before them I wave my thanks as if I am really grateful for their "good manners". You can almost hear them grinding their teeth!

Smile and a wave - it's safe and it really winds people up cos they KNOW that they are having the p1ss taken out of them. That's the worst thing for them; not being beaten down the dual carriageway cos thats a noble defeat.
"I raced a Scooby down the A1 and he had to do at least xxxmph before I gave in" is cool down the pub.

It's one of the reasons I'm thinking of going for a plainer looking WRX than an STi. Still going to get the tossers who want a race but hopefully not as many. They'll not learn until they end up in hospital or killing somebody. Even if it's safe to play with them it'll just encourage them. I even get idiots trying to race me in my Civic, not exactly a performance car!
Mind you, it's a good laugh when you're on a clear road and you meet someone who wants a friendly. Had a great time following an M3 down some country lanes once. Ok, so it wasn't exactly an even contest, and he was only playing, but he did give a friendly wave and stick his hazards on at the end :-)

there is an easy solution, and you're not gonna like it...
Drive something that they are less likely to notice, a plain wagon on original alloys etc is going to get far less hassle...
(of course, if you drive a Skoda, and an estate at that, *everyone* leaves you alone)
