A friend of mine is gasping to buy an sti, he has seen a white 5dr hatch 1997. He's in two minds if he should buy it or not. I slightly put him off by saying its not the one to have with it being a 5dr hatch, or am i wrong??,

And also how much differnce in price would a 5dr STi be in comparison with the 4dr Sti?

I have an STi wagon - as far as I'm concerned it has the same dynamic qualities of the four-door but *so* much handier for taking loads. I've heard it said wagons sell less well, but in that case you'd get a better deal on this white one than on a similar spec'd four-door, so you can't complain.

I had a silver 5 door WRX my94 and i loved it, my mate kept taking the **** by saying it was an estate car, he has got a elise..... but like i said to him, mines quicker and i can carry the shopping home in it!!!
