Jeeez

How many of you have to hide stuff from girlfriends and sneak
out to the garage unnoticed?
It's becoming a real pain.

Hello mate

I have to hide my other girlfriends from her!!!!

Mine doesn't mind as she loves driving my motor. She works with loads of blokes so likes to show off with it, just can't talk her into waving at other scoobs.
In fact she is the only one driving mine for a while as my right
leg is in plaster.......

Col

My wife asked why our bank statements stopped being delivered since I bought my Scoob.
Little does she know I burn them as soon as they come through the letter box. £1,000 this month on a visit to Power Station

I get all my car bits sent to my folks house which is only 5 mins away I explained to the folks that as we are both at work during the day there is no point in it getting delivered to our house

I get the odd moan from Nic. every other day about the Scoob expenses. I really don't mind, as when she drives it, mysteriously there are no moans for the rest of the day.

She wants a Honda S2000 for herself when we can afford it. I've got plenty of bargaining potential for mods there....

You are not alone
Since my wife hates my scoob, any money spent on it is deemed as bad as cheating on her, so all items come to my office and are either smuggled into my shed or fitted in the office car park!!
And she ever asks then i just do what she does and say.."what that old thing, nah i have had it for ages" Might be harder trying to explain an STI 5 spoiler as its quite noticeable....

I feel well lucky. If I went out to buy a car with 20k ish and came back with something that didnt say Impreza or TVR on it I'd be in some trouble. An MPV would actually result in a split.

All my stuff gets delivered to work, then its straight into the boot of the car. Not that she minds, just that its best if her nose isn't rubbed in it....

She does roll her eyes when I say "thats it now, I've modded it as far as I want to go.."

Again.

Flowers do it for the numerous times i forget stuff (every day) but for the scoob buying i'm afraid its good old honest plain lying.feel bad about it as it would be easier to be up front but hey im sure we all have secrets and mine are all stashed in my shed or on the car already!!!
bet i caught out soon, just lucky that she dosent go onto scoobynet.

hhhmmmmm yes, do you think i can get my scoob ppp'd without the girlfriend noticing ? (she does drive it)

she's using the old chestnut of her being pregnant (again) to justify not spending the money on Prodrive-ing the wrx03.

I've started buying 2 of everything, then selling one on e-bay and claiming I sold them both.

MrsREV: Whats this HKS box?

Me: er, I got that for a tenner off e-bay, I'm going to sell it on Scoobynet for at least £20, they're dead gullible on there...

Well you see, I was talking about Car Parts, butI'm glad i'm not alone.

I have fitted: -

Rear box
Decat centre
Dawes
ITG
Clear Indicators

All with the art of smuggling from work to Home > Garage.
Front spoiler and Wheels nearly causd a split even though I reduced the price by 50% when I told her how much they were, not to mention servicing. Christ knows how I am gonna fit my downpipe i've got sitting in the back of my garage - I alledgedly went to Ikea to change a shelf (dropped into H&Scott at the same time).

A month ago it got pretty serious when I smuggled an STI5 rear spoiler home and she wandered out into the garage (never usually does) and she looked at me like a naughty box stealing sweets.

She just said what is that......
How much did that cost....

J.

If it's your money, spend it how the **** you want to.

My ex's always used to complain about me spending more time and money on my cars than them. Men eh?
One was actually stupid enough to say it was either him or the scoob. (so he went )

Whenever i get something done to the scoob, the girlfriend doesn't mind at all as long as she gets to drive it.
She didn't even mind when i went down to TSL for a "quick look" and came back with a full de-cat and a firestorm backbox.
Youv'e just gotta learn to keep em sweet

How's about this....

My wife thinks that a PPP for an Sti7 is £600.00. Futhermore she believes that I got another £200.00 knocked off!

Don't tell her - Prodrive springs next!

Mind you - she is off to Spain to sun herself again next week!

Keep it up boys - it's a war!
