I have a cup 172 - just read the thread that has been locked? Humiliated by a 172 CUp or something! Its nice to read comments that acknowledge the cup can easily match the WRX - I have mates with new and old WRXs and have raced many times old Turbos - I havent ever had any problems keeping up and have always been told by the scooby drivers how shocked they were to say the least! The cup does 144 and thats not on the limiter! Its a great car and I'm defo keeping it but I really want a new subaru STi - I could live with a WRX but bigger heavier car for same performance as the cup wouldnt do anything for me right now! I need an STi - any thoughts or comments! The insurance isn't a problem but can I find a good demo or inport or second hand model anywhere? Cheers

I drove a cup a while back, Very impressive! did find it jumped about the road a bit though, doesn't like going slow does it! would like a bit more grunt out of it though in a straight line. Top Car.

Probably a bit early to be looking for 2nd hand STi8's, best bet is to save hard (for the insurance) and then get a used one about 1yr old as they depreciate in value like you wouldn't believe.
Plenty of cheap 7's about though if you like the looks?
This guy does new STi's from Europe for about £22k with no security fitted.
