Hey everyone, just thought I'd say hi. 23/m from Leicester... looking to buy a Subaru Turbo sometime in the future! At the moment, I'll just read ure stories and wish it was me driving one to work and so on!

Currently got a '01 16V Clio... looks good, goes slow!

Don't read too much or you'll be up to your eyeballs in debt with a scoob sitting outside waiting to be tuned!!

tell me about it, im tempted to total the clio and claim insurance and put it towards a Scoob! Damn temptation.

Just out of curiousity, does alot of things go wrong with Scooby's, or are they generally ok and on the road more times than in a garage?

Depends on how you define reliable, i seem to get the urge to replace bits even when they're not broken!! so it will cost an arm and a leg mate!

Cool

Gotta agree with ya there bighead, Ive had mine now a MY98 for nearly 6 months and absolutaly love it. I had a saxo VTR b4 so there was a huge differance in performance and the scooby doesnt fall apart. I would reccomend 1 to anyone

I'm also from Leicester. Previously owned a Sport Wagon, went down to Heritage on Aylestone Road and traded-in for a WRX. The difference is astonishing.

Cool

Within 6 months of owning my Clio 16v, I had a repair bill for £1000 for the head gasket - that was just the start - it seemed to always be in the garage.
I have had the scooby nearly 2 years now, and - touch wood - no major problems, only time it's been in garage was for a service & to add bits, and the compulsory squeaking brake problem
Go & get one, you know you want to - word of advice though, try & sell the Clio privately, I only got £1500 x for mine & I was gutted, I'd spent over £4000 modding it

I would sell the clio at the drop of a hat to get a Scooby, but just cant afford to a) run one and b) insure it, so not much point. I'll be patient... as they say, good things come to those who wait...
