I have a MY99 with nasty window scratches. These look like the windows must scrape as they lower....both sides the same. Is this a common problem? Anyone tried to polish them out professionally?

Also has anyone been along to the dealer for the underseal check listed in the service book? Most of mine came off when I jet washed it last week. Being grumpy I reckon a three year old Jap car shouldn't need this kinda work.

I had window scratches on my my94 WRX i tried and tried to polish them out but just could`nt do it!
the local auto screen place told me to smash them and claim on the insurance!!

Window scratches happen on most Scoobs, even the newer ones!

Scoobs are cracking cars, but they do have alot of downfalls...ie. window scratches and the fact they dent so easily and also that the paint is so soft...etc etc.

Thanks for that. Good point about the weaknesses, I did know about most before I bought the car. The windows really bother me and, as you mentioned, the regular chips to the metallic paint :-(

Maybe the answer lies in chilling out a bit, after all none of these annoyances stopped me cruising along behind a 911 and passing several wallowing BMW's as we went. Happy days!

Same for me m8 - window scratches and a loud - DOH! when all the sealer came off with the jet spray!
