Heres a question I often ponder myself.....
If you were to trade-in/sell your scooby tomorrow, what would you buy?
The rules are, that you have to remain within "budget". Basically, no lottery winners or drastic promotions allowed.
The car would have to fall within the same cost to run bracket as the Scooby, keeping it as realistic as possible. Also it has to be a car you could use on an every day basis.
The reason I ask, is that I look at other cars all the time, and contemplate changing, but then I think;
1)Performance wise, nothing much can touch a Scooby from A to B. 2)They can be made to look the mut's nuts without much work.
3)The handling is unbeatable, making even a crap driver feel like Tommi or Petter!
4)The growl of a boxer flat four throught a straight thru stainless exhaust is aural heaven!
I could go on and on, but you get my drift.
What car will give as much satisfaction as a Scooby?
By the way, mines is only a humble MY00 UK Turbo with mods!

My Scooby has gone already (stolen through aggravated robbery) so I've replaced it with a Golf V6 4-Motion.
Hopefully this will not be quite as tempting to nick....
I still miss the Scooby but I don't miss the attention that it got.
I was going to get an Audi TT and go down the tuning route again (for trackdays) but soon discovered that to get beyond 270bhp you had to spend silly money. My V6 could potentially be turbo'd to produce around 500bhp but again that is silly money too.
So I am now saving for a Dax Rush Hyabusa... 200 bhp in a car that weighs 600 kilos has got to be good
Spend another £5000 and bolt on a turbo then you have 350bhp in a car that weighs 600 kilos !!!
See you on the track soon

I thought it was what car within the same budget as the scoob..
some of you lot must have expensive scoobs
Anyway for me (within what my 94wrx is worth) it could only be a Pulsar GTi-R.
But if I sell the scoob I'll sell my bike as well and it would be RX7 or R32 skyline with big evil black wheels

A lot of folk are opting for RX7's...
Doesn't the fragility and re-build probabilities of the 1300cc Wankel (Snigger) put you all off?
I've lost count of the amount of 30-40,000 milers that have had either a re-build or a BRAND new engine fitted by Mazda, usually at a cost of several thousand pounds. (warranties not applicable!)

will only buy a 996 turbo when/if i get rid of this car, NOTHING else. When my warranty runs out in about 3 years i MIGHT change it, hopefully the 996 will be around 50k by then
