Question

A silly question I guess, but I can't seem to get the Shell petrol station finder to work!!

I'm heading up to York soon, and on a 250-odd mile journey, I guess I'm going to need some Optimax on the way there and back!!

Does anyone know which services on the M1 has Optimax (between Nottingham and Sheffield is probably when I start panicing!!)?

I guess that York should be ok, as my host will be able to point me towards the nearest one!

Andy, The only one I know of is at J14 services(There's one just off J15 towards Northampton but that's a little far out of your way . J14 should be far enough up for you to make the refuel in York.

What we really need is a victor tanker full of optimax, so we can refuel mid drive anywhere we like.

Rich,

I 'm having problems with that site! I can search and it will display the overview map, but when I click on a petrol station the map doesn't display!

Neil,

Thanks! That will help for the journey back!

Cheers

Andy, Woodhall is the last one on the M1 before the M18, thats where i usually fill up when coming from London, and there plenty around York.

Are you going where i think you are going? on Sunday?

Andy

Try 5 minutes

Tells you what fuel is available at which services.

Cheers guys!

I think that's sorted then!!

A stop off on the way there, fill up in York and one for the journey home!

It's *only* a MY00 UK with some minor mods (for now!) Although I'm tempted to take some of the new mods up with me, especially with the experience to hand!!

Steven, I guess I'll see you there!

I think the directions I have are fine, along with the backup of an Autoroute map! Plus these petrol stations are on the route! I'll double check tonight, any issues I'll drop you mail!

Now I just need to find someone willing to fit some drop links and a lower brace on my car!

You saying i need to take my jack and socket set with me, so that Mr Wallis or anyone else for that matter can do it

Only reason i ask re directions, is i think certain people go the long winded way, and certainly autoroute suggests the long winded way

Kate, look forward to meeting you, heard a lot about you

Thanks again to everyone!

Managed to get to York with about 5 hours driving on Saturday afternoon!! Taking nearly 2 hours to get off the M25!!! And it only took half a tank of fuel!!!

Coming back yesterday took just over 3 hours and tank full of fuel!!

Not a problem with the pedals, it was finding a chance to use them!!

I didn't really hit triple figures on the way back!! Bloody weekend drivers!! (But I'll save that rant for another time!)
