Thumbs down

They are not covered by the Subaru warranty.

Thanks

Sorry

meant to say that they're not authorised by Subaru UK.

Thanks

Scoobysport are an approved installer of this and it is a great bit of kit.

You would not be able to break it and the only way of removing it is with burning equipment.

It isn't approved by Subaru UK, as it involves welding to install it. But many Subaru dealers are approved Barrier Deadlock installers.

The best mechanical system there is.

There will be a demo of the Barrier Deadlock System at the forthcoming NW Summer Bash on 24/25th June, at John Wildings, Kendal. Check the Events section, but you may have to go back a few weeks.

I have a barrier deadlock and I'm very happy with it. It's easy to use (although it can be a bit stiff and awkward to engage), and is certainly less trouble and less intrusive than a steering lock. The installation looks very professional and seems robust enough, although I'm not about to test it! If you'd like to come and have a look (depending on where you are), send me an email.

Andy.

Pete:
Wow! was gonna ask who in the south east area would supply and fit these.

How much (inc fitting, labour and VAT) and how long to to fit one of these things.

Not being Subaru Authed. is OK as I've got a WRX Wagon. Would it make any difference fitting it to a WRX Wagon (MY94)?

Showell's of Stourbridge quoted me 245 pounds inclusive and 2-3hrs to fit.

My new UK spec import from Holland (absolutely no problems importing or registering) is booked in soon!

We charge almost the same, £235 incl vat. The job is indeed 2-3 hours.
