Question

Just out of interest, I was flicking through the autotrader and theres not many on there, however.... they are all absolutely ridiculously priced. One Terzo was 11k with 45k miles. Also a McCrae for 12k and one Cat for 14k

You can buy a good MY99 for that, so who's buying these?!

Recently sold my MY99 for £10.500

No way on earth I would pay within 2k of that for a pre 99 car. 99/00 is the finest breed by far

Do think the ltd editions look smart though.

Hi Ron,

Yep, bored severely with the golf and looking at various options. Flat buying is forcing me to look away from scoobs a bit, but have my eye on a nice one when everything is sorted. A mate wants to do a swap with a cheap R plate 200SX Either that or an Integra R.

About time you spent some money on mods

A friend of mine recently sold a 97R Catalunya which 17" Alloys, s/s exhaust, d-valve, sti5 spoiler for £6800 because it had 120k..
fairly cheap i thought as they are still up for £8000+ with less miles but in standard form...

Wink

Any special edition beyond the RB5 is getting a bit old hat now? Any newcomer to Scoobs has probably never heard of them and would be puzzled by the price tag, and I guess they will become more and more difficult to sell at those prices? Makes the car I've got for sale look a real bargain!
Oh - Hi Mark, didn't see you there!!

I payed 9K for my Cat 6 months ago 45,000 miles.

Although I met a guy recently in a petrol station with one and
he paid 11.5K for his 38,000 miles.

Parkers price guide states: add 15% for a Catalunya.

Only 200 made.

Ok, I biased 'cause I've got a Terzo.

However, the cars were more expensive to start with, as they had a 'better' trim, plus air con. IIRC new Terzo's were 24k new, where as bog standard Turbo's were @20K.

Pro-rata they've depreciated the same as any other model, they just haven't dropped as far.

Even on the SIDC site it says that you should expect a 20% premium on the Terzo model.

Just the thought of a simpletan!
