God they look better in the flesh.
I have just spent an hour driving one on some of my favourite roads courtesy of Mill Lane Basingtoke(thank you Jerry and Andy). And its as good as you hoped for. Its a better all round road package than I ever imagined, 130 comes up ever so quickly and it is just so smooth.
Especially the gear change which imho has been worked on. The overall gearing has certainly been changed as it pulls really well over two thou and redlines near eight. And all of it is usable but if I remember 70 is about 3K. Handling is as you expect, better than 95% of us and honest, grips where and when you want it slides a bit when really pushed but is contollable.
If you are going to get one you won't be disappointed its that good. And of course the bad point .... the price. I wonder how much I will get for the kids....

Unhappy

Just spoken to my local dealer and he assures me that no UK dealers have any P1's. As prodrive have released any yet. (obviously doesnt read the BBS and probably doesnt honestly know)

He also offered me between 15K and 16K against a P1 for my Oct MY98 'S' reg UK 4-door with :

7,000 miles (seven thousand miles)
Full Subaru mechanical and bodywork service history (with the dealer)
Prodrive Quickshift
Clear front lenses
Full colour coding
SS backbox (which he didnt want )

Is this the going rate or what ?

Because if it is looks like I'm waiting for the new model then.

Anyway nice one Phil nice to see the BBS is on the cutting edge , hope you enjoyed the blast.

cheers

chrisp

Red face

Your Dealer needs to get with the programme

Even IM say they delivered some. Ring up Sales and check for yourselves

Yes I would say he's offering you the going rate at 16k on a trade in. Should manage to get a bit more at a more in tune with the market dealer

I CONTACTED LANCASTER AND THE GUY THERE FILLED ME IN. THEY HAVE 3 CARS.
HE ALSO SENT ME BY FAX A LIST OF THE HI-FI OPTIONS.
I WISH I`D ORDERED THE CAR FROM THEM!

Talking

Ive dealt with SGT as have a number of others on the BBS. Graham in service is great, however the Sales Force are not winning an award on being dynamic.

SGT only get a very small Impreza Turbo allowance compared to Lancaster. When I bought my Terzo I phoned SGT, they sent me to Lancaster as they only got 2 and Lancaster 14.

My advice to most on this list would have been to place their order with a big dealer and be in the top three or four. However not everyone can acheive that. IM have said that every dealer should have 2 by the end of April. If your not in the first 2 at SGT, you could be in for a wait I feel.

Question

Interesting this, I have also just spoken to Lancaster (Sevenoaks) and they are not expecting any P1's until mid April. What they did say was that their confirmed list would be contacted upon receipt of their demonstrator/dealer ordered car for test drives as soon as it was available.
