depends on gearign and weight.
A classic short geared lightweight R or RA with 280bhp low 13s (possible sneeak into the 12s)

the type r and type ra have lots of stuff missing like underseal?? and other bits of heavy trim
there intended for motorsport so are stripped of the basics

Some of the earlier RA weighed 1170kgs. Mine on the SVA and Japanese paperwork is 1240kgs which is still pretty light considering it has central locking, electric windows, electric mirrors, folding mirrors, climate control (with air con), SWRT alcantara seats, blue console and dash and loads of other bits and pieces. It did however come with no stereo or speakers, very little sound proofing and no underseal. Stereo and underseal were sorted immediately .
Yes all RAs are not the same, some are quite well spec-ed and fast .
TBH for anyone who has driven an RA or R tey will tell you its the gearing which makes the car. Each ratio feels just right after the previous one and lag is all but eliminated.

LOL, it was 13.406 - I was so gutted I couldn't claim a 13.3 I had 3/4 of fuel on that run so my car will do 13.3 with lower fuel and no waiting to run (heat soak)
