I've just bought a '99 Turbo and love it.

Any ideas of how much I'll pay on 7,500 mile services etc? Also, when extras like pads and cam belt need changing, what's the damage likely to be?

My services on my MY99 UK Turbo have averaged between 200quid for a small service and upto 400quid on a big service (cambelt etc.).
Gets you down after a while!

Replacement discs/pads costs for a MY99/00

Front Discs £264.52
Front Pads £115.61
Rear Discs £218.67
Rear Pads £71.44

All prices include VAT, but you'll need to add fitting on top.

Average service is between £150 and £200. Don't think I've paid a lot more than that in the last 50K miles - too frightened to look.

My 45K service last month was £165.

Cambelt is expensive, but not till 60K.

Stefan

servicing depends whether its a full service (approx 300-400 quid) or small (approx 120 quid), assuming main dealer service. obviously more if extra parts are needed.
your cambelt should have been changed at the 45k/ 3 year service so make sure it has been done already. if not - do it now!
pads should last approx 20k miles. discs a little more. Subaru discs and pads are bloody expensive (about 400 quid I think) and better parts are available cheaper - in my case Pagids.
Gotta go - alarm going off!!!

Question

Pads 20k miles????????????????????????????????????????

Mine are at 37k and still have loads left - then again, I don't drive like a loony!!!

Also the cambelt WAS 45k - it changed to 60k/5 years at about MY99.

My 45,000miles service is due next Tuesday - been quoted around £250

Its MOT time too!!

pslewis,

The pads in Halfords are £25 but you probably get what you pay for!

Just had my 45k service MY99 and it WAS a cambelt change.
The 60k/4 year service is allegedly a biggie (in the region of £600)

Repeat after me, 'Here is my wallet, please take whatever cash you need.'
