Finally got my dream car MY01 WRX in Black with a hint of blue, only mod (so far) is a back box which was already on the car. I have been thinking about buying one for a few years now and then one day I just got the urge and started my mission to get the Scooby of my dreams. On my quest to get my scoob I encountered many evils. The first being my wife, I spent months of house work, presents labour cooking and then one day I popped the question '' Darling we've been together for a while now and I thinks it time for a new addition to the family...... lets buy a Subaru ''. The second was my insurance company, they where hard work but I remembered the words once told to me by a wise man (scare face) you get the power you then pay the money (or words to that effect anyway). My final evil is one that I will be fighting all day every day car jackers/thieves. I couldn't tell evil number one (the wife) about evil number three because then I wouldn't be able to pass the wife.

I now have my car and love every second of it. I want to fit a VTA dump valve and wanted to know which one you guys would recommend. I should really say that I want to improve turbo lag but we all know that I really am a kid at heart and really just want that ''pssssh noise''

Anyone see me around the Watford/Harrow area give me nod.

welcome to the pleasures of scooby ownership. If you want to inprove turbo spool up then put the idea of a VTA on the back burner and first sink you cash into a CAT free downpipe.

I have been looking at a number of mods for the car but the problem is that the car still has a Subaru warrantee till mid next year and my local Subaru dealer has advised me that fitting a cat free down pipe may cause problems with he warrantee. I'm no mechanic and for the moment I only really want to do mods to the car that won't invalidate the warrantee and that I can perform myself. If I fit a VTA dump valve I can easily whip it off and put the original one back on when I take my car back to the dealers. Thanks for you advise though.
