Have to say that this will be my next car.

When the Turbo version is out in Europe I'm getting one. I prefer the stealth look.

From www.apexjapan.com

As you can see from the front view, there is definitely a shared design with the new Impreza. I think it's worth mentioning that the Legacy was probably the original design, though, and that the Impreza facelift came first purely because of timing (bad sales in all other markets besides America).
Some specs on the JDM Legacy motors from Driver Magazine:

EJ20-R 2.0-litre NA: 186hp at 7100rpm. 142ft/lb's of torque at 4400rpm. 33mpg in 10/15mode.

EJ20-R 2.0-litre intercooled twin-scroll turbo: 276hp at 6400rpm. 249ft/lb's of torque at 2400rpm. 32.5mpg in 10/15mode.

10-15 mode is a Jap standard for testing emissions & fuel consumption. I have the details somewhere but have to dig it out.
I was hoping for a 2.5tt tho, but the lighter kerbweight sounds promising.

I am assuming the mpg of the turbo model is a typo!!!

I would have expected 22.5 and not 32.5

Comments from anyone who has a Legacy turbo.............?

Otherwise thats a pretty economical turbo

My GTB does around 22 - 25 mpg.
If the new car does uptp 32mpg........great, but I doubt it.

35 to the gallon...... yeah right

Only if you ***** foot it, and stay well away from the 2nd turbo.

This is the new Legacy Turbo model which is going worldwide.

No double turbo - twin scroll instead.

BTW The Yanks are getting the WRX 2.5 Turbo engine again in the new Legacy unlike the rest of the world.
