Bored at work & so decided to calculate my tranny loss (Celica GT4) against my mates Celica 190, as we had a bit of a tussle the other night & it was closer than I expected ...which wasnt suprising when I calculated the Whp per ton as opposed to the usual Bhp/ton ...I used 15% loss for FWD, 17% for RWD & 24% for AWD, decided to check a few other motors too!

My 205 GT4
275 bhp/ 1480 Kg = 186 bhp/ton
209 whp/ 1480 Kg = 141 whp/ton

M8's Celica 190
189 /1185 = 159 bhp/ton
160.7 /1185 = 135 whp/ton

P1
215 bhp/ton
165 whp/ton

STI 8 (ppp)
204 bhp/ton
155 whp/ton

WRX
158 bhp/ton
120 whp/ton

Classic
173 bhp/ton
140 whp/ton

911 Carrera
235 bhp/ton
205 whp/ton

BMW 330 Ci
151 bhp/ton
125 whp/ton

Teg Type R
170 bhp/ton
144 whp/ton

Clio Cup
168 bhp/ton
142 whp/ton

...hmmm a little bit more respect needs to be given to those pesky lightweight FWD'ers me thinks ...oh & up me power & lose some weight

What a fast little 'foul' car ...would kind of explain why its difficult to shake them on a decent 'B' road, would get mullered on a longish straight tho' ...or if it was wet

Absolutely, from a NSL sign, say, my mate's Clio used to be glued to my MY98 for the entire useful range of speed...
