We aren't sure Kevin. We are trying to arrange one, but we contacted all of the potential venues in January (they don't let you book before the race calendar is announced in Jan) and not one major circuit was available for any summer weekend
The main problem is that track day companies booking 10 full weekends and 20 week days get priority over us. After these companies had booked their dates there was nothing left.
We do now have a potential venue to visit, but it will not be as easy to arrange as Dono was, nor will be less than the £12k that Dono charged.
Some hard decisions have to be made on this as we have to be certain that it will break even or we will not go ahead with it. More info will follow as soon as we have it.
If you are going to Japfest, this has nearly been renamed SIDCFest as there are getting on for 400 Imprezas in the club arena. This is only 100 short of the number at last years National Day.

Buy your tickets at the SIDC shop and mail johnb@sidc.co.uk for an arena pass.
Dingy, I read all of your posts in the forlorn hope that one of them will one day be amusing

Last years event was excellent, apart from the fact that Prodrive couldnt make the effort to turn up with a couple of STI's for getting passenger laps in.
Hope something happens this year

Can it be in September as I'd like to come this year but the wife will be popping our first sprog out at the end of July. I would not be popular if I went off with "that bloddy car" while she is knee deep in nappies.
I missed last years event due to my wedding so don't let it be two on the bounce
Cheers

Pete, just from my view so you don't think i was being stupid.
I have been going to Car shows for over 15 years now....
I am organising my first show @ croft this year, to which you are more than welcome. We are doing a track day and concours show.
The Track side of thing keeps people there for the whole day as looking at the same thing all day kinda gets dull, i only go to a couple of static shows in the year because they are pretty boring, as you have seen the whole thing before, and there is only so much you can look at one thing for.
So the 400 scoobs in a JAP car show for all the japanese cars is a bit of an over kill, wouldn't it be better to get less cars, but from concours to heavily modified of the different versions. This in my opinion makes better viewing for the paying public and at the end of the day if the public is bored the show fails in doing what its surposed to be doing.
Hence why we are doing croft, with a 0-60 (cheers Simon ) and inviting other car clubs to join in the track time, we have loads of RS's but some from 205 forum, some from scoobynet and the EVO board. This being the same reason for the track, its nice to see many different cars at shows, people aren't interested in seeing a track day full of cossies or scoobys same as looking at 400 in a field.....(unless the stella is £1 a pint )
Hope that makes you smile....
