Just flickin through the latest AUTOCAR (16th April), and have quite literally fallen for the STi-8 spec C!!!!

322 bhp, 325lb torque!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An estimated time of 60 in 4.2 on a standard (restrictive airbox and exhaust) Impreza.

Anyone else gonna join me by poppin one on their wish list??

V,
Can you imagine what a 'similarly' specced car with the 2.5/3 litre engine will be like later in the year. S203 or something like it. Strong rumours of a very special hot STi.
Paul.

Yes Iain, it got an excellent review! claiming that even at an extra £13,000 the car would still be deemed good value!

Mind if I pop up in my Biggles gear and goggles, and be a test pilot for 20mins or so? (hehe).

Iain, that fax is on its way!!

When you said 'your car' I haden't noticed the number plate and the fact that you mean that 'it was YOUR car'.

Anyway, nice motor, even looks nice in white doesn't it!

I've just read about it on Litchfield's site - very impressive ! I don't think terms like 'hammer the snot out of it' will get the Pulitzer Prize tho'
How come there is such a large price difference (£4.5k) between the Spec C on 16s and 17s ?

Cool

I had the chance to drive this very car a few weeks ago, thanks Iain. Very impressive car in standard trim. I thought the windey windows were a very quaint touch too. The twin scroll turbo response was just silly.

Chaps

I think we may be in danger of falling into the same trap as when the 22B was launched and Autocar were incorrectly told that it had 350bhp. Everyone believed it..........

Iain,

You've had more scoobs than many have had hot dinners...........come on as a guide, does it feel like that sort of power and capable of those kinds of performance figures?

Mike: Yeap, you know them well email me and I'll send you the graph.

Vtech: It has more torque and is far more responsive than any Impreza I have driven. The handling is simply amazing!
