After getting a negative from my wife about testing a Scooby 2 years ago I got a new Audi S3 in Sep 01, it's a lovely car and fairly quick. Then on Tuesday I test drove an 01 STI Prodrive PPP
I am collecting Saturday

No, the one I test drove was in Chelmsford, but the one I am buying is at a dealer in Worcester.

Do you mean 02 STi Prodrive PPP, ie , an STi7?
No sure they did an 01.

Hi Stevie, sorry for the confusion, the one I test drove was a 51 plate registered DEC 01, must have been one of the very first, it was a car belonging to one of the directors at Subaru UK.
The one I collected today is an 02 plate STI7

Nick,
I'd be interested in hearing how you find it, particually in the running cost area.
Basically I have an 02 Sti with PPP and a baby on the way in a week or so. If money got tight, one of the cars I was considering was an Audi S3.

I would not go near an S3 at the moment. I just sold mine, great car but with the new shap A3 coming out they are a depreciation nightmare. Get a Leon Cupra R from Europe for £15k new, get it chipped to 270 bhp by MTM and you are away.
