My MY95 STI RA is fantastic to drive until you get on the motorway...she does 100mph at 6000rpm!!!!!!
Dom.
Mine has got aircon but that is it...I do miss the central locking as I'm constantly leaving the back doors unlocked!!!

I had a STi RA and now have an STi3.
Depends what you are looking for in a car
RA: Stripped out, light weight, mad!
RA: No electric windows, central locking, ABS, Aircon.
STi3: Still fecking quick and has all of the above
Loved my RA, it was my first scoob, STi3 much better as I get great performane and a bit of luxury aswell.
hope this helps

Just bought an STi 2 RA vLtd - it's got all the leccy bits and aircon but all of the toys too.
Acceleration is mad, the gearbox feels great, its an awesome car.
However doing about 50mph in 5th I do feel like I should be changing up, but I've run out of gears!
Depends on what you want it for, mine is primarily a toy, it sees 100mph only on the straights and I don't do a lot of motorway crusing in it so the close ratio box is a benefit rather than a curse. If I wanted to drive big distances on a regular basis though, I'd go for a Type R.

This all depends on the version. Version 4 RA's and onwards have a more reasonable gearbox. Some earlier ones had really short ratio boxes. Max speed was geared to abt 127 mph on a version 2 I saw.
My version 4 has full climate but no other electrics - I would prefer to have atleast central locking, but make do as the acceleration is fantastic.

Does this mean the pimp-wagon is up for sale?
If so, let me know details as I may have a prospective buyer for you.
Paul
PS Thought you fancied a fugly
