I will not line SDBs pocket £150 a month for a banner ad when your havin a joke i dont charge that for a year on my site
And any way all i was doing was offering scoobynet users a good deal why dont check your facts before locking a thread this is what iam talking about http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=189508
Locked as if its an advert
Like checking the swizzol site Gossy, Jonathan Goss, and TMVS have nothing to do with swizzol other than i use there products and Highly reccomend them
Even 1 of your MODS have enquired about it
The other thing is i have mailed webmaster numerous times on this and other things and he has completly ignored all mails sent to him Hence why iam posting this here if he wants to talk to me i know of at least 4 mods with my number so RING ME

No offence mate but why be such a Drama Queen??
Your posting an advert on behalf of a company who's products you use. Are we naive enough to think your not getting some benefit from this, or maybe your just trying to up your post count in any way possible in your quest for Scoobynet Celebrity Status

I've sent Simon an email on this. It's probably best if he and you deal with in via email. I know you've sent him a couple of mails, and he's on my MSN so as soon as he comes online I'll page him.
Cheers

So mentioning products is enough to get your posts deleted?
I use Optimax, I highly recommend it to people. So if I come on here and spout off about it will it get deleted? No, probably not, as I don't sell petrol. How about if I go off on one about how wonderful Microsoft products are (must keep taking the drugs)? Would that be deleted?
Then again, Gossy doesn't sell polish. He sells a service which uses that product, just as I do with Microsoft. Ergo, my posts should be deleted (and probably will be ) if I try and sell the stuff.
IIRC its free to be a supplier in the Scoobynet shop, could a supplier do that and not have a banner ad, yet still tout their wares? What are the rules?
Grey area I know, so could you point me in the direction of the "guidance"?
Many thanks.

This very issue is being discussed by Simon and the moderating team. It's safe to say it's unbelievably complex. One thing is for sure, that SN will remain product and supplier neutral and it's the Moderators task to ensure that is and remains the case.

I'm sure your site receives just as much traffic as scoobynet and takes all of the same costs and time to run.
You would not be lining anyone's pockets, and I don't have the time or inclination to waste effort explaining to you why this is the case.
If you don't like it, post on your own board. I really do not care.
Abide by the rules of this board, or don't use it. Simple as that.
If in future you want to have a decent and genuine conversation about something and want to be respected for your questions and views, I suggest you use a slightly more intelligent way of communicating.

Didn't work in the UN. Why would it work here?
Is a Webamster a cross between a spider and a hamster? I want one. Is there a banner for them here?
We should be able to Vote moderators "out"..

PS.
Luke
Every now and then, you make some good points. Every now and then, you make good points at the appropriate time.
A suggestion that we should be able to vote moderators out on a thread about a moderator giving up his own time to try to keep this board running (by following the rules requested by the community in the first place), is neither a good point, or appropriate.
Please keep that out of this thread.
regards
Simon
