A good reason to extend your warranty with subaru!......

To put people in the picture i have an MY97 PPP bought Mar 2001 that i have kept immaculate for the last 2 years. 1st year was extended warranty included in the purchace price, last year was £348inc VAT from Subaru. i have only done 20,000miles from 34K to 54K in 2 years with full subaru servicing!
1st year of ownership : fault in wiring loom to fuel pump, 10 days without car for fault finding, repair to loom - cost - zero!
2nd year of ownership : (warranty up 22/03 - this sat!) Faulty door switch - window goes down automatically! , starter motor knackered! , also engine hesitating at 3K revs? to be looked into.
Subaru have just signed off a full engine rebuild due to worn piston(s)!!!!! (and approved switch and starter replacement!)
How much would that have cost if not under warranty?????
I best not tell them i run it on standard unleaded
so far car has been in Mainland Widnes for 1 week.
I must say i am impressed! - Thanks to everyone at Mainland (Bob and Danny mainly) full recommendation to everyone in the North West Area from me!....
Glad its making way for the STI 8 in ten days - 3 yrs of hassle free motoring

i like the attitude that everyone there are 'into' the cars, they all seem happy to talk about them / upgrades etc, with no dis-respect to monks heath (as the work was fine) they were just another garage......
