today I nearly put a cyclist on his harris, although at low speed. Between Marlow and Bourne end at a roundabout he decided to do a move on the cut through traffic. 2 of use were crossing the roundabout, next minute the cyclist comes from nearside around the back and as i saw a gap and wanted to accelerate away, cuts across the front between me and the car in front. If i was not being observant, he would have been underneath (cut up by a bike ), then gave me the finger for him being a complete d1ckhead. If he was in a car and made the move, he would have been totally in the wrong

Working in london i see all the crap moves the couriers make on their bikes, like trying to mow you down on a red light on a pedestrian crossing, cutting across the traffic.

Do we now have Bike rage to contend with

Luke, kept the peelers on him and gave him space when i passed him in traffic prior to the roundabout so always agree with the rule.

I treat motor traffic with respect and expect it back. Being a daily commuter by bike I tend to get the rough end. Agree though that idiots like that get all us cyclists a bad name. Of course when I am in the Scoob it's different.....bl00dy bikes!

i can see this tread turning into quite a rant so here's my mine.
from the point of view as cyclist and motorist

i hate cyclists who make left turns out of junctions without looking and do That "im so small i'll hug the curb and it won't bother you" thing.
Well iv'e got news for you it fukcing does we have to veer further out into the road very suddenly not a safe manouvre especially if the road aint to wide to start off with.

As a cyclists its the motorist who cant be arsed to wait behind you before he takes a left turn and thinks he can just nip ahead and cut across you and you wont mind again we fukcing do its dangerous and could result in a dented nearside door (and cyclist)

as a mad mountain bike rider..I know what you mean. Most riders in London cause havoc. Thats why I ride sunday mornings 3.00am till about 9.00am. All over the city and embankment . Plenty of room to get funky with all the steps etc..

But when i drive in london I have my eyes peeled for cyclists....
