I ordered my new Sti8 with PPP but on delivery it wasn't fitted (End of JAN). Every time I ring the dealer I get some reason or another to why it's not here yet. I then read this forum and everyone and there mum seems to be getting their cars with it fitted!!

Any ideas?

Unhappy

My dealer told me yesterday that I would have to wait 2-3 months for PPP for Sti8. When I asked about arranging for me to take the car to Prodrive they said that this was being discouraged by Prodrive. Anyone else been told this ?

I believe there is a shortage of downpipes thus making it difficult to supply the whole kit

The downpipes are in, it was originally the ecu holding things up for the 7. I had the STi8 PPP fitted on my 7 last week. You will now get the 8 package regardless of if it is an 8 or 7 STi. Get the dealer to chase, daily. It works, had mine in 3 weeks from order, but got dealer to chase twice a week.

I do seem to recall that someone from prodrive came on here saying the PPP were ready and available to fit. If the dealers were saying otherwise then thats wrong. Contact Prodrive.

Please people correct me if im wrong (im going from memory which aint good )

I ordered mine weeks ago and i spoke to the dealer who said it would be another 8 weeks befor deliveries started again. What is going on? It is very frustrating.

I think it depends on their relationship with IM. Some seem to be able to call favours whilst others don't
