HAS ANYONE USED "PROSPORT" (SUBARU MANCHESTER) FOR SERVICING. THEIR WEBSITE SUGGESTS THEY ARE PRETTY GOOD BUT I`VE NEVER HEARD OF THEM.
I NEED A 60000 SERVICE ON MY MY99 TURBO BUT I`M LOOKING TO SAVE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE!!! THEY QUOTE £330 ALL IN WHEREAS MY MAIN DEALER WANT £450.
ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED.

Book says 60k for MY00 ,,,,,,, but most dealers will still carry it out at 45k , as they dont seem to have faith in the 60k one ,,, after all if it did snap at say 55k ,,,,,, subaru would have to foot the bill ,,, providing its got a fssh of course , so dealers dont want the hassle of repairing the engine on IM,s skimmpy reduced labour rates beleive me

I've used Prosport for my last 2 services, very good price and very good service.
Even gave me an A4 list of things that might need replacing or looking at soon - never had that kind of service from a main dealer!
Thoroughly recommend them

My 60k a couple of weeks ago was £450 - without cambelt! Local garage wouldnt haggle on price and I didnt have the time to go further afield. My cambelt on MY00 was changed at 45k.

Might give Prosport a whirl then. Incidentally, my car had its belt done at 45000 and 52500 (don'y know why!) so they can't possibly want to do it again! Think 60000 is everything except cam belt!! Would people recomend a geometry check or not??

I think i require one - my offside front is somewhat moer worn than the nearside
I'm just trying to debate whether to go and be ripped off at a Subaru place, and then extend my warranty or go somewhere which doesnt cost a bomb.
The trouble is when i bought the car (at 54k) it was overdue the 52.5k service. I had it done the day after I got it (when i noticed - (non-subaru) dealer had told me it was up to date FSSH). The dealer I spoke to said it shouldnt be too much of a problem - but the t&c in the service book disagree...
Just thinking its a big waste of my money if i can't even extend my warranty. Any thoughts on this anyone?

geometry i wood recommend doing if u havent dun b4 have new tyres/wheels &/or have hit sumin solid or if doesnt feel quite right pulls 2 1 side steering wheel wobbles etc etc but i wood totally advise going sumwhere with a proper set up/reputation as i have had "4 wheel geometry" dun b4 but not a scratch on the likes of TSL's work Admitedly marginally more expensive but hey if it saves a bit of tyre wear & gets set up totally accurate rather than within the side of a bus type wide settings that r the basic prodrive uns then it gets my vote

I wood find that more worrying as i have a 97 uk car & i've just bin havin a butchers at my service history thing since i got 90k kumin up soon & where they stamp it under 45k & 90k it says including cam belt so all matches up with the guide on SIDC faq thing. If it says 60k then dont sound right 4 a UK MY97 unless i have yet again missed sumin?
