Cool

Just received a phone call from Subaru Deutschland (German equivalent of IM) just to say thanks for buying a new car from them and to make sure I was satisfied with everything!

How is that!!!

No chance of that in the UK unless they are trying to sell somthing to you.

oooh do you live near the Bodensee? I was there last year on a road trip and it was beautiful. I'm a Prestonian living in the south of France at the mo. I wonder how many other far flung Prestonians there are on scoobynet?

Sounds like those Germans know a lot more about customer service than their English counterparts (see my posts about Lancaster Subaru)

I agree with Tim-Grove!

I've bought 2 impreza's from the UK and the dealer didn't even thank me... just kinda rubbed his hands and laughed!

German dealer has been very friendly and helpfull, so I was already shocked by the level of service over here!

I nealy fell off my chair when Subaru Germany called me! First though that went through my head was "here we go, recall time"!!!

scooby-new:
you just nipped in there before I got my reply out!
Yup, I'm at the Bodensee! I know another Prestonian in Paris and another guy in Bratislava. I worked with a southerner in Freiburg who was married to a French girl and they mey while at Preston poly (sorry UCL). There's also a German guy here who spent 6 months at UCL! Although none of the above drive a scooby! So where-abouts u from then? Where are you in France now?

I was actually born in Southport, raised in Tarleton and went to high school in Penwortham! I now have a flat in Preston, but for last 6 years have spent 99% of my time in Germany!

The guy I know in Paris was someone from school, I met him on a tram in Heidelberg when I first came over! He arrived a week before me!

Nowt wrong with Preston though, one of the nicest English cities to live IMHO, although I much prefer the European way of life. Will always consider Preston as home though!!!

Gotta say my local dealer was very friendly and made the whole purchase very easy and enjoyable. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones ;P

Strangely, the Customer Satisfaction Survey I received about a week after taking delivery of my STi8 asks "Did you receive an after sales call to make sure the car was ok"??? Luckily I did.

I'm from Preston, born in the Royal Infirmary there- it's a Kwik save now.

I live in Pau nr the Pyrenees part time and back to Ulverston/Brighton the rest of the time. Small world eh? I was in New York last yr drinking in a Rodeo bar and met someone I knew yrs ago from Leyland!

edited to add that I was brought up in Avenham and lived there for 15 yrs in the scummiest flats ever
