i have a ppp 99"scooby it was doing 100+plus on a private road, and it seem to pull really well . i came to a roundabout and slowed down. then back up to 100+. this time it felt as if it was holding back the smooth delivery. revs were around 3500-4000 .engine note seemed a bit more noticeable too.-i did give it some in 4th as well.with hindsight could this be the clutch£££.if so how can i know if its the clutch? cheers for any inputs lads and lassies.

100?
u would not belive what i have just seen on the clock of my my97 wrx lol
with witness etc etc
ive read that poor blokes p1 thread and seen him ripped apart so i aint posting the speed, but if sumbody can be arsed to work it all out, it was on the limiter in 5th gear lmfao
aperntly the speedo was recalibrated as part of the kph/mph conversion 2000 miles ago, so even if its slightly off, its dam feckin fast lol
a mate with a nice nova asked me to take him for a ride to see what all the fuss was about, he now says hes getting an impreza lol
not recomended for fuel economy

I don't wish to be rude, but I really don't think that's a very helpful reply, and is just the kind of post Scoobynet has been trying to discourage.
'Chod,
I understand what you've described, as I've experienced it myself, particularly in the P1. Sometimes, even on the same journey, the car just feels like it's pulling differently. Having discussed this with a few other owners, it's obviously not uncommon. Unfortunately, nobody's ever had an explanation.
