Over Boosting .......... I think !!!

My m8 has asked me to try to find out what the problem is with is Scoob. It's a MY95 WRX when in 5th gear at approx 120mph the boost sensor kicks in. (i think). He uses Optimax & Millers octane booster every time. Please can anyone shed any light on a possible
cause & how to rectify. He thinks it could be the boost has crept up a little..

think you need to be more specific.
what happens, missfire?, harsh cutout?
are you sure the speedlimiter isn't in place?, 112mph limit on jap imports. seems possible it's speed limiter as you say it happens at approx 120mph(speedo will over read)

i have also just got a 95 wrx and it is overboost but mine does it in every gear and its a bit **** so i am getting a power chip fitted £293 fitted from collins performance in congleton 30bhp upgrade and ups the boost and does away with overboost totally
and they have guaranteed it will fly thru the emmisions at the mot time as well
