Am i missing something?- Just looks Blue to me!

The people involved in naming it happened to be colour blind..

 

If you look closely, its got red specs in the blue paint.

 

So why don't they call it blue with a tiny bit of red paint instead?

 

When I traded my reddish blue Sport in a few years ago, whoever was responsible for typing up the dealer's second hand stock sheet didn't believe anyone would call a colour reddish blue. It ended up on their website as "reddish red"

 

Does that mean the new black colour on the STi-8 is infact goldish-black?

I asked a body shop guy the same question a while back. He says its surprising how much red paint actually gets mixed into `reddish blue` it think from memory it was 30-40%. I think the sonic blue looks better anyway (maybe im biased)

 

My scooby is a silverish silver with a hint of mud brown

 

...not forgetting the RB5/STi 5 "Steel Blue" (it's grey!!) and the MY01/02 "Blue Black" (it's black but in strong sunlight has a blue sheen....

under some lights it looks purple ish

 

Mine is the rusty pink version. It's faded red(almost pink) with rust flakes....
